Nigerians attack Senator for boasting about time in prison

Kaduna State Senator, Shehu Sani has come under attack after boasting about the time he spent in Kirikiri Prison.

Senator Sani made the comments during the ongoing screening of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial nominees.

Sani, a human rights activist, was sentenced to life imprisonment for protesting against the government of late dictator, Sani Abacha. He was released in 1999 when Nigeria returned to democracy.
