Sharp criticism of Argentina from Germany after World Cup final: Disgusting athletes

The Argentine national team did not leave a good impression in the final match of the World Cup. Lionel Scaloni's squad didn't show much in the final and had to concede to Spain's superiority, losing 0-1 after extra time. Now, extremely harsh words are coming from former German footballers.

“Today, as throughout the entire tournament, they went a bit too far. It must also be added that World Cup finalists should be role models, as an enormous number of children watch them. Therefore, all of you under 18, please do not take Argentina as an example.

In professional football, the ability to win, even using tough tactics, is an integral part of the game. But at this World Cup, they went a bit too far,” stated Christoph Kramer, currently serving as a ZDF television expert.

“I thought the Paraguayan team was bad, but Paredes, E. Fernández, Otamendi, and all the others – disgusting athletes,” Thomas Hitzlsperger didn't mince his words.

“Football won,” Toni Kroos succinctly summarized the World Cup final match in a social media post on X.
