This is the sixth time the defender has been relegated with a clubside.
It started with his first club, French side Metz, where he was relegated twice before he moved to England to play for Newcastle United.
He was part of the Newcastle United side that were relegated in 2008-09 season.
The 29-year-old was signed by Tottenham Hotspur but was loaned to Wolves for the second half of the 2011-12 season in search of first team football.
That season he was relegated with Wolves before he signed with Norwich in the summer of 2012.
The recent relegation is the second he has experienced with the Canaries.
