Scotland Manager Angered by Question, Cuts Interview Short After Match

Scotland manager Steve Clarke commented on his team's crushing defeat in their third group stage match at the World Cup against Brazil. The encounter ended 3-0 in favor of the "Seleção."

"We made it difficult for ourselves, that's all. We allowed them to score the goals, we handed them the game they wanted. It's disappointing," Clarke told the BBC.

When asked about Scotland's chances of being one of the best third-placed teams and qualifying for the knockout stages, Clarke waved his hand and stated, "I'm not even thinking about that right now." The specialist then abruptly ended the interview.

Experienced midfielder John McGinn was also visibly frustrated by the naive goals conceded.

"We can't help but be angry. We're conceding ridiculous goals at the worst possible moments. At the same time, we're missing our own chances. All we can do is wait now. It's unlikely we'll progress, but we hope. We simply lacked the quality. Everyone gave their all, but the opponent was better," McGinn shared.
