Nigerians react to Senate President’s trial, lawyers’ resignation

Senate President, Bukola Saraki today, November 5, 2015, appeared before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) to face charges of asset declaration fraud.

Saraki’s trial was however adjourned after his lawyers walked out of the tribunal in protest.

The lawyers were angered by the tribunal’s decision to proceed with the case despite a request for adjournment and a pending appeal before the Supreme Court.
