Ahead of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil, coach of Nigeria U-23 team, Samson Siasia has continued his outcry over the lack of funds for his side.

Siasia and his boys are currently in camped in Atlanta, United States where they have been facing several difficulties because of lack of funds.

Siasia who has in the past revealed how difficult it has been for him and his boys, said “his boys cannot be Gold in the football event of the Olympics when they are begging for money.

“It is not a good image to go to the Olympics while trying to beg for money around, actually begging people for money to take care of the Nigerian Olympic team. How are we going to win gold, if we keep begging for money to take care of our athletes?,” the coach is quoted to say by .

“We don’t have money. We are in the (United States of) America now without any money. So, it is a big problem.

“We are without any money in our pocket. There are no funds coming from anywhere. That is not a good thing.

"When you have players who are not motivated and encouraged, but you want them to come and do a miracle. Everybody needs to be encouraged at one time or the other.”

He appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to come to the rescue of  his boys ahead of the Olympics.

The Dream VI will jet out to Brazil on Friday, July 29 after playing two warm-up games.

Nigeria have been placed in Group B alongside Group B Sweden, Colombia and Japan.
