Ryan Garcia is confident that all circumstances are aligning for him to deliver an incredible performance in his upcoming bout against Conor Benn.

"Everything is going smoothly. Smooth as butter, like when you make yourself a nice piece of toast in the morning, you butter it up, you take a bite, and you even add bananas – it's really going well. Smooth as butter. I'm sharp... He had cuts from his last fight, so it's possible they could open up again, but I'm just very sharp right now. Very sharp."

Will Benn use the weight cut as an excuse?

"One million percent. He's already set it up. You've already heard him say: 'This is my last fight at 66 kg.' Who wants to become a champion and then immediately leave the division? The man is looking for excuses. He won't become a champion, but who would do such a thing? It makes no sense unless you're preparing excuses."

On his own difficult weight cut experience before the Tank fight

"He's not going through what I went through. I had to stay within 5 kilograms after the weigh-in. He doesn't have a rehydration clause. That's where the problem is... The hard part is not being able to properly rehydrate. So, I have no sympathy for him. I had to do it, everyone has to do it, UFC fighters have to do it, everyone does it. He's just looking for excuses."

On Terence Crawford and Fernando Vargas Jr.'s predictions against him

"Do you notice what they all have in common? They all sound bitter and full of hate. Nothing good ever comes from that... I don't care what they think, they can't fight for Conor Benn at all. They can't throw punches for him. I know Crawford is in Conor Benn's gym trying to teach him every technique he knows – that won't help, because I feel like I'm going to kick your ass, so what are you going to teach him?"

"Ultimately, they're trying to gang up, to bring me down, because they know I'm here and I'm about to take over everything. I could potentially become the face of boxing after this fight."

"If they want to come back, they can. But in the meantime, you're retired, you should be relaxing on a yacht, enjoying your family... You had your moment, you had your rise. You shouldn't be talking anymore, brother."
