"I learned not to let negative energy get the best of me, so I channeled that into my music and made sure I put out a song that made people realize that we are not here to joke," the singer notes.

On what he thinks about people covering the song, he says it's a great feeling, and now knows what it feels like when people cover songs of popular artists such as Adele's 'Hello'.
