Nigerian swimmer, Samson Opuakpo is now out of the Olympic Games after finishing third in the Men's 50m freestyle.

Opuakpo was given a wild card to the Olympic Games and finished third in the Men’s 50m freestyle heat in 24.85s.

With that result, he finished 59th and not among the 16 swimmers with the fastest times go through.

D’Tigers battled hard but lost their third game of the Olympics to Spain.

Nigeria were impressive but still lost out to Spain 96 – 87.
