According to a report by Premium Times, the meeting of the executive, which kicked off at about 11PM on Tuesday night, September 12, 2017, in Abuja, has ended in a deadlock as at 7AM, Wednesday September 13, 2017.

It was also reported that the executives of the resident doctors association argued all night with many tilting towards two different views.

While some reportedly wanted the strike suspended others wanted it to continue until the federal government meets all the association's demands and not some.

The argument reportedly lasted through the night and the president of the association left the venue during a short break to the health ministry to get a guarantee letter that could influence their decision.

It was also reported that the meeting is to reconvene‎ at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.
