Real Madrid has reportedly reached an agreement for the sale of left-back Fran García to Real Betis, according to multiple sources.
The transfer fee is a modest 4 million euros, but this is because Los Blancos will only be offloading 50% of the player's rights. This arrangement came about after the Seville-based club declined to pay 100% for the rights of the 26-year-old Spaniard, whose contract with the Madrid giants is set to expire next summer. García himself has already agreed to personal terms with his new club and is awaiting his medical examinations. He was reportedly keen to depart from the Santiago Bernabéu, having played a secondary role in the Royal Club's squad last season. Overall, the Real Madrid academy product has made 109 appearances for the first team, scoring 3 goals and providing 13 assists.
Meanwhile, another former Los Blancos player could also be signing with Betis. This refers to midfielder Dani Ceballos, who left the Madrid powerhouse as a free agent. Ceballos is an academy graduate of the Verdiblancos, from whom Real Madrid acquired him in 2017 for 16.5 million euros.
