Forward Marcus Rashford is set to be reintegrated into the Manchester United squad and will begin pre-season training with the team, according to the authoritative publication “The Athletic.” This decision comes after a series of discussions between the player's representatives and Michael Carrick, and also following the expiration of his £40 million release clause on July 15th. This means any potential transfer for the player from now on will require club-to-club negotiations with the Red Devils.

The player himself has expressed a desire to remain at Old Trafford, especially after Barcelona declined to meet his €30 million release clause. He is unwilling to move to another Premier League team and prefers to stay at Manchester United if he is to play in England. Rashford is open to considering offers from European giants like PSG, Bayern Munich, or Real Madrid, but no such offers are currently anticipated.

The Red Devils' management has yet to make a final decision on the future of Joshua Zirkzee. The Dutchman has been with the team for two seasons but has failed to consistently impress or challenge for a starting spot in the attacking lineup, often finding himself on the bench. Manuel Ugarte was also considered a likely departure, but the midfielder sustained a severe knee injury and will remain at the club. Manchester United has already secured the signings of Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, Andrey Santos from Chelsea, and Karl Darlow, also from Chelsea. Various sources suggest that the club is exploring options to acquire a third midfielder. Plans to bring in a left-sided attacker have been shelved following the resolution of Rashford's situation.
