The major gridlock lasted for hours, thereby forcing Lagosians to react via twitter.

However, the Vice President apologised to Lagosians through his Senior Special Assistant-Media & Publicity, Laolu Akande on Twitter before the end of the day.

We asked our readers if it was right for the vice president to apologise for causing the congestion that lasted for hours.

Most readers, 84.6%, said he was right to apologise, while 15.4% said he should not have apologised.

I think he was right to apologise since it was his arrival that created the traffic along that axis.
