Borussia Monchengladbach might have narrowly lost their match-week 19 Bundesliga fixture at home to 3rd placed Bayer Leverkusen 1-2, but Yan Sommer's display for the home side was super impressive.

Monchengladbach could've been down by far more goals but only just lost the tie thanks to their Swedish goalkeeper's brilliance.

Sommer made an incredible 12 saves in that fixture with 10 of the away team's shots on target saved from inside the box as well as two incredible second half penalty saves.

DEF - Claudio Winck (Maritimo)

Maritimo Fc pulled off a shock 1-0 away win at Braga in week 18 of the Portuguese Primera Liga thanks to Claudio Winck's 89th minute winner.

The Brazilian defender won all five of his ground duels as well as making two tackles and two interceptions in an impressive man of the match display.

Maritimo were far from favorites going into that game but they upset the odds especially because of this away win.

Verdict : It's also not everyday you get to see midfielders score hat-tricks on match weekends but performances like this certainly qualified him for a place in our midfield picks.

MID -Saba Lobjanidze (Hatayspor)

3rd placed Hatayspor won 4-2 at home to Galatasaray in round 21 of the Turkish Super Lig.

27 year old Georgian midfielder Lobjanidze scored two of Galatasaray's goals.

League leaders Fulham came from behind twice to thrash 16th placed Bristol City 6-2 at home over the weekend in the English Championship.

29 year old midfielder Neeskens Kebano turned goalscorer for the home side bagging two goals including the goal that levelled the score-line at 2-2.

The Congolese midfielder actually missed a big chance to even stretch Fulham's lead but overall, had a good game.

'The Cold Assassin' Lewandowski inevitably got on the score sheet bagging yet another hat-trick for the defending Champions, achieving a milestone of 300 Bundesliga goals over the weekend as well.

ST - Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham Fc)

On the back of Fulham's incredible comeback over the weekend, the real star of the show was this man.

The Serbian beast scored a hat-trick and also turned creator in the match by creating 1 assist as well making him one of the best performing strikers of the weekend.

Mitrovic also managed to win 6 out of his 7 aerial duels as well as put in a massive shift for the home side.

His individual brilliance earned his a massive OPR upgrade of 90! from his standard 75 highlighted by a +24 - Shooting and +6 - Physical

Verdict : Mitrovic being one of the overall best players of the weekend says it all. No arguments here surely.

ST - Antonín Barák (Hellas Verona)

Hellas Verona cruised to a 4-2 win away at Sassuolo in one of the upsets of matchweek 22 of Italian Serie A.

Sassuolo attacker Barak was named man of the match after scoring a hat-trick and assisting another goal for the away side.

Barak's incredible display saw him win all his aerial duels, recording a pass accuracy of 84% and completing two out of his three attempted dribbles.
