US forward Christian Pulisic, who has been battling an injury at the World Cup, stated he's ready to play a full match, including extra time if necessary. He also confirmed that the American national team is prepared for a penalty shootout should their Round of 16 clash against Bosnia and Herzegovina require it.

“Yes, I feel ready,” he affirmed when asked if he could play an entire match or more.

“I think they’re a pretty feisty and brave team. I feel like the boys will try to surprise us,” he told reporters ahead of Wednesday’s match against Bosnia. The Americans are heavy favorites in San Francisco, but they aren't underestimating Bosnia, especially after the latter eliminated four-time champions Italy in the playoffs to qualify for the tournament.

When questioned if the US team had learned anything from some favorites faltering in Monday's penalty shootouts, Pulisic indicated that players would stick to their individual approaches.

“Everyone has their own style. I don’t think when you watch, you can really take so much and try to ‘change your style’,” Pulisic explained.

“It’s just part of the game. It’s extremely difficult to step up and take penalties. So for the people who step up and shoot, it takes a lot of courage and it’s not easy.”
