Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly withdrawn its pursuit of Yan Diomande due to RB Leipzig's excessive financial demands. The French club explained their reasons for pulling out of the race for the winger's signature. Yesterday, the Parisian giants officially announced they were retracting their transfer offer for the "Red Bulls" player.
"The requested transfer fee and salary demands are absolutely disproportionate and could disrupt market balance," the club stated in an official announcement.
According to reports, the 19-year-old Ivorian is now on the verge of joining Real Madrid, who are expected to pay over 100 million euros for his services.
"Ultimately, they (RB Leipzig) demanded an insane amount for a player who has potential, but a year ago was playing in the Spanish second division. We will not overpay and abandon our policy for one player, just because another club has created a real fireworks display around him!" commented a PSG source, as quoted by L'Equipe.
"This shows the current state of Real Madrid," added the individual from the French powerhouse.
