Proud Father Jeremy Doku Returns; Belgians Hope for His Impact

Doku missed Sunday's 0-0 World Cup draw against Iran due to a respiratory illness but was granted permission to fly to London to be with his wife.

Ahead of Tuesday's training session, center-back Arthur Theate stated that Doku would soon rejoin the squad. “We are very happy to have him back. He is an important player, a crucial part of the team in every aspect. So, I hope he helps us as much as possible in the next match,” Theate commented.

Belgium has only two points after two matches. Their third Group G fixture is scheduled for Saturday at 5:00 AM CET against New Zealand.

“Shireen and Praise are doing great, and my heart is full of gratitude. Welcoming my son into the world is one of the greatest blessings God has ever given me. Thank you to the team for their support; now it's time to get back to football and represent my country on the biggest stage,” Doku posted on social media on Tuesday. The Associated Press reported this.
