Crystal Palace 0 Vs Chelsea 1: Costa the main man for Chelsea
Diego Costa scored his 13th Premier League goal of the season to help Chelsea win their 11th consecutive league games of the season. In the 1-0 win against Palace, Costa shows why he is the most important player for Chelsea as they aim to win the title this season. His fifth yellow card of the season means he will not be part of Chelsea’s home tie against AFC Bournemouth. He will sure be missed.
West Brom 0 Vs Manchester United 2: Ibrahimovic tailor made for Premier League
At 35, Zlatan Ibrahimovic came to the Premier League amidst lots of doubters. The striker though has silenced all of them with his recent form, scoring 10 goals in his last nine games. He has 16 in 25 games for Manchester United. Ibrahimovic should have come to the Premier League earlier on in his career. His tailor-made for him. Pace, physicality, he has it all. “The older I get, the better I get, like red wine,” he said after his brace against West Brom. The Premier League would love to have the taste of this win for a long time.
Manchester City 2 Vs Arsenal 1: Pep at his tactical best
Pep Guardiola has had his critics since he arrived the Premier League this summer. Heavy defeats to Chelsea and Leicester City did not do him any good but against Arsenal, he reminded everyone why he is one of the best managers in world football. City had much of the ball in the first but were ineffective with it. In the second, Pep switched things up, switching the positions of Kevin de Bryune, Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling. Arsenal played into City’s hands but Pep should still get the credit.
Manchester City 2 Vs Arsenal 1: Gunners show frailty again
Arsenal collapsed again, especially in the second half against City and showed why few people take them serious for the title race. Arsene Wenger has been raging about the performance of the referee who truly allowed two City ‘offside’ goals. What the French manager need to be furious about is the lack of fight and gut his boys showed against City. Yaya Toure and David Silva were basically walking with the ball unchallenged in midfield. Nacho Monreal’s marking of Sterling just before City’s second goal was shocking. Gunners need to show fight for top four battle right now, their title race is almost over.
Sunderland 1 Vs Watford 0: Moyes can save Black Cats
