Vozinha, one of the standout figures from the 2026 World Cup, is set to earn a monthly salary of 47 million Chilean pesos at Colo Colo, which translates to approximately 44,000 euros per month (€528,000 annually). This information was reported on Monday by Chile's Rádio ADN, detailing that the Cape Verdean goalkeeper's contract will span 18 months.
While considered a substantial sum for Chilean football, the goalkeeper's earnings will remain significantly below the squad's highest-paid player. The 40-year-old former Chaves player will receive just over 40% of Arturo Vidal's salary, whose monthly remuneration is estimated at 114 million Chilean pesos (around 107,000 euros).
According to the same source, Vozinha's salary will be comparable to that of other club players, such as Tomás Alarcón and Víctor Felipe Méndez, placing him in the mid-tier of the team's payroll.
The goalkeeper's signing was confirmed by Aníbal Mosa, president of the historic South American club, after Colo Colo failed to secure Uruguayan Santiago Mele. Vozinha gained international recognition by leading Cape Verde's historic campaign at the 2026 World Cup, delivering notable performances against powerhouses like Spain and Argentina.
