Three days after the World Cup final, the specialized website Transfermarkt updated its transfer market valuations, naturally influenced by individual and collective performances throughout the tournament.

The Portuguese player whose market value saw the biggest surge was Gonçalo Ramos, despite the forward only playing 35 minutes. As a substitute for captain Cristiano Ronaldo, the now AC Milan player featured for seven minutes against DR Congo and an additional 28 minutes against Croatia, a match in which he scored – in the 90+4th minute – the goal that secured the Seleção's qualification for the round of 16.

It's worth noting that Gonçalo Ramos is already a confirmed reinforcement for AC Milan, where he will be coached by compatriot Ruben Amorim, who was recruited from PSG for 74 million euros.

Only one other player from the national team saw his value increase after the World Cup: center-back Renato Veiga is now valued at 30 million euros, representing a 5 million euro increase.

The Portuguese League player who saw the most significant post-World Cup valuation rise was Norway's Andreas Schjelderup from Benfica, whose value jumped from 30 to 40 million euros after contributing a goal and three assists in the tournament.

Sporting's Maxi Araújo is now worth 40 million euros, a five-million increase after scoring two goals and providing one assist in the World Cup.

Also noteworthy is Bosnian Amar Dedic from Benfica, whose value rose from 16 to 20 million euros. Sidny Lopes Cabral, whom the Eagles have already sold to Trabzonspor, saw his value increase from 4 to 10 million euros, close to the figure for which he was recently negotiated (7 million fixed, with the potential to reach 12 million).

Cape Verde's remarkable campaign also impacted the valuation of Deroy Duarte (from 1.8 to 2.5 million euros), and even Vozinha, who at 40 years old added a zero to his valuation, going from 50 to 500,000 euros.
