Foden's original contract was set to expire at the end of the 2026/2027 season, but he has ultimately decided to extend his stay under manager Enzo Maresca. The English midfielder made his debut for the Citizens at 17 and has since helped the club secure six Premier League titles, one Champions League trophy, and three FA Cups.
"Committing my future to City means everything to me. Playing for this club has always been all I've ever wanted, and it's always an honour to wear the shirt. I've been fortunate enough to be part of the club's most successful period in history, and I can't wait for the further successes we'll achieve together," Foden was quoted by BBC Sport.
Last season, he featured in 50 competitive matches, scoring 10 goals. Foden was not included in England's squad for this year's World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
