According to reports, Papil J is the husband of popular dancer, Kaffy Ameh. He has worked on a project with superstars such as Ice Prince and M.I. Abaga.

The signing of Papil J received mixed reactions from the fans of Peter Okoye.

An Instagram follower with the username "osheyno_maliq" wrote, "Wait o Mr P u say Na you and  do ? Eey! Bia jus get back with your bros o! This "Mr P" thing no be like wetin go work abeg. Nice cool jam though. Kudos reping ".

Peter Okoye was involved in a misunderstanding with his brother, Paul Okoye, earlier in 2016 after a long family feud that involved elder brother, Jude Okoye, who was also their manager.
