Barcelona midfielder Pedri expressed his delight following the 2-0 victory in El Clásico against Real Madrid. The win was doubly significant, as it also secured the league title for the Catalan giants.
“We wanted to win it here, in the Clásico, in front of our fans, and now it’s history. We played a fantastic match from the first minute to the last. Nothing like this has been achieved before in this new project. It’s wonderful. Now it’s time to celebrate with our families and with the fans, because this isn’t something you achieve every day,” Pedri stated.
“We dedicate this victory and the title to Hansi Flick because of the heavy loss he suffered today in his family. May his father rest in peace. This is for him, up there in heaven. Flick is like a father to all of us in the locker room; he always cares about the person, not just the footballer, and we wanted to return the favor on the pitch,” the midfielder added.
