Following Kevarius Hayes' official announcement as Partizan's first summer signing, the same source reported Alessandro Pajola joining the 'Black and Whites.' Now, news has broken that Derek Willis's signing is also finalized.
Willis spent last season with Paris, his inaugural year with the French club. Prior to that, he played two seasons for Anadolu Efes.
He appeared in 28 games, starting seven, averaging 5.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists, with a 37% success rate from beyond the arc.
Willis, a power forward, is known for his strong three-point shooting and defensive prowess, making him a significant addition to Joan Peñarroya's squad.
Pokuševski Departs Partizan
As reported by "Eurohoops" and subsequently confirmed by the 'Black and Whites' on social media, Pokuševski has parted ways with Partizan and will not be donning their jersey next season.
Speculation about Pokuševski's potential departure from the 'Black and Whites' had been circulating for several weeks, intensifying after Aleksej obtained a Greek passport. It now appears Greece will be his next destination.
Greek clubs are actively seeking domestic players, a category Poku now falls into, making him a highly sought-after commodity in that market. PAOK is currently the frontrunner for his signature, and it's likely Pokuševski would relish the opportunity to work with Andrea Trinchieri, who has taken charge of this ambitious project.
It's worth noting that Cedi Osman, among others, has also arrived in Thessaloniki.
Pokuševski's departure continues an exodus from Partizan, with Dwayne Washington, Sterling Brown, Isaac Bonga, Bruno Fernando, Dylan Osetkowski, Nick Calathes, Shake Milton, and Aleksa Radanov having already left the club.
