Partizan Secures Biggest Summer Signing! Black-and-Whites Worked in Secrecy to Land Former NBA Player
Numerous names had been circulating in the media in recent weeks, but Stevens' wasn't among them, making him Partizan's second official summer signing. The black-and-whites worked discreetly and ultimately succeeded in convincing the American to don their jersey, announcing the move on their social media channels.
Stevens began his career in 2020 with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He then moved to the Boston Celtics, playing for them during their championship season before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Memphis was his last NBA team, as he joined Paris last summer.
The forward, capable of playing both small forward and power forward, appeared in 23 games for the French capital's team last season. He averaged 19 minutes per game, scoring just over nine points and grabbing three rebounds.
Derek Willis Joins Partizan
After Kevarius Hayes officially became Partizan's first summer reinforcement, it appears the signing of Derek Willis is also complete.
Willis was a member of Paris last season, his first with the French club. Prior to that, he spent two years with Anadolu Efes.
He played 28 games, starting seven, averaging 5.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists, with 37% shooting from beyond the arc.
Willis, a power forward, is known for his strong three-point shooting and solid defense, making him a significant addition to Joan Peñarroya's squad.
