Partizan Misses Out on Summer's Biggest Signing! Black-and-Whites Snubbed as NBA Player Heads to Dončić's Project

It seemed Wendell Moore's arrival at Partizan was imminent, but it appears the black-and-whites have missed out on one of their biggest potential signings this transfer window.

As first reported by Mozzart Sport, who broke the news of Moore's impending signing with Partizan, the American guard has opted for Luka Dončić's ambitious project in Rome.

Everything seemed set for the guard, who has the potential to shine in Europe, to join Belgrade. Only the final details remained, but in the end, the 'Steamroller' was left empty-handed.

Rome, a club with Luka Dončić's involvement, offered Wendell Moore far more flexible terms, making it easier for the guard to potentially return to the NBA. This appears to have been the decisive factor in Moore choosing Italy over donning the black-and-white jersey.

Who is Wendell Moore?

Moore, a guard, was selected as the 26th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks, who immediately traded him to the Minnesota Timberwolves. He also played for the Detroit Pistons, Charlotte Hornets, and then again for the Pistons, where he played last year. However, Moore only appeared in six games for the Pistons last season, having spent more time with the Detroit club's G-League affiliate.

He has played a total of 96 NBA games, averaging 2.3 points, 1.4 rebounds, and just under one assist per game.

For now, Partizan's backcourt options include Carlik Jones and Alessandro Pajola, and it seems Kyle Allman's signing is also all but finalized.
