The jury is still out on Oliseh since he took over as Super Eagles coach.

He was blamed following Vincent Enyeama's retirement from the national team, the Super Eagles difficulty in scoring goals and several issues.

But Onazi has pleaded with Nigerians to be patience with him.

“Nigerians are wonderful people but in some cases, they are too quick to judge,” Onazi said in an interview with the Super Eagles Youtube channel.

“Sunday Oliseh is a good coach and is like a father to us; he is technically sound and he tells you exactly how it is, no matter who you are.

“Nigerians have to be patience and he is going to give Nigeria what they want,” he said.

The Lazio midfielder also spoke on the Super Eagles 2018 double header against Swaziland- in the first half before winning 2-0 in the second.

“It was a very important victory as a country,” Onazi said about the 2-0 win in Port Harcourt.

“We played in Swaziland and played a goalless draw; it was a good game even though we had our challenges.

“In Port Harcourt, the weather was hard but we did well and got the points.”

The 23-year-old midfielder also pleaded with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to fix important friendly games to prepare the Super Eagles for the second round of the World Cup qualifiers.
