Nigeria U-23 coach, Samson Siasia has hinted he is looking at the possibility of getting Ighalo and Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa for the competition.
“I’m still undecided on the areas that the overage players would be needed, but I’m happy that the likes of Ighalo (Odion), (Ahmed) Musa, are in top form now and I hope they will sustain it until the Olympics,” the Nigeria U23 coach said on a television programme.
Siasia and Ighalo worked together during their days in the Flying Eagles of Nigeria.
Ighalo was captain of Siasia’s U-20 side to the 2009FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt where they were knocked out by Germany in the second round.
