In a decision reached today, May 17, 2016, the court asked the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to suspend the strike pending the determination of a suit filed by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami challenging the move, Punch reports.
The strike was originally scheduled to hold on Wednesday, May 18.
Labour leaders had earlier met with government officials in a bid to resolve the issue but the meeting reportedly ended in a deadlock.
Fuel is expected to sell at N145 per litre due to the government’s removal of petrol subsidies.
