A poetic exploration of terrorism and terrorists by Abdulbasit Abubakar Adamu
'Blood Plantation' by Abdulbasit Abubakar Adamu
In a peaceful state of co-existence
some farmers with mechanised tools
came upon the growing plants
slitting out their lives like weeds in rainy days.
In their large farms of bigotry
they claim to make sacrifices
to the God that brings rain to water these plants
really, I wonder
who should help God fight
they think they were born to fight
but I wonder if they were truly notified.
destroying other people's farm
they created theirs.
a plantation of prejudice and bloodbath
they left this uncultivated seedlings displaced
while they left the life plants misplaced
these cruel Gardeners,
I wish all your efforts be cancelled and debased.
