Coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Thomas Finke has opined that the friendly game against the Super Eagles of Nigeria is not ‘ordinary’,
Cameroon will take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Sunday, October 11 at the Edmond Machtens Stadium in Brussels.
Ahead of the game, Thomas Finke has warned his players to take the game serious.
Nigeria and Cameroon have a long running rivalry in football and last met at the 2004 African Cup of Nations in Tunisia which the Super Eagles won 2-1.
The Cameroonian team are camped at the Sports Complex RRC Waterloo, Belgium, preparing for the Super Eagles friendly game which is warm-up to their 2017 AFCON qualifier against Gambia and the 2018 World Cup qualifiers which kicks off in November.
“Finke has reminded his players the importance of the regrouping in Belgium,” Vincent De Paul Atangana, Indomitable Lions media officer, said.
“He told his players that the friendly with Nigeria is important and it is to prepare the team for 2018 World Cup qualifiers which begins in November.”
