One of Nigeria's youngest universities, the Elizade University (EU), Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, is partnership with the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba (AAUA).
The newly-appointed Vice Chancellor of EU, Professor Kunle Oloyede made this known when he paid a visit to the Principal Officers of AAUA last week.
Oloyede, a professor of Medical Engineering told the AAUA VC, Professor Igbekele Ajibefun, that his institution seeks collaboration on student development.
“We are looking for collaboration with sister universities such that we can create a new generation of graduates, who will understand that it is not just good enough to work technically," Oloyede said.
"We are looking at how we can build our students to have sufficient awareness and developed minds in the area of entrepreneurship."
Ajibefun accepted the younger university's offer of partnership, noting that it would be mutually beneficial.
“I am glad to say that AAUA is ready to work with Elizade University. As a new VC of Elizade University with overwhelming experience from both home and abroad, I have a strong belief that working with you will be a great exploit for both Universities."
EU is a privately-owned university established in 2012 by Micheal Ade Ojo.
AAUA was founded in 1999.
