On Wednesday, RAF co-founders Chad Bronstein and Izzy Martinez informed American media that negotiations are underway for Ray Lewis to compete for their organization before the end of 2026. While the deal is not yet finalized, discussions are progressing positively.

According to Bronstein and Martinez, former UFC welterweight champion and two-time RAF competitor, Tyron Woodley, is instrumental in facilitating the agreement.

The two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, who spent his entire career with the Baltimore Ravens, was a state wrestling champion for Kathleen High School in Lakeland, Florida. He achieved this feat in the 86-kilogram category in 1993. Lewis has often credited wrestling with significantly contributing to his defensive prowess on the football field. He concluded his illustrious football career in 2013, winning the Super Bowl with the Ravens in his final game after defeating the San Francisco 49ers.

Meanwhile, RAF continues its successful 2026 campaign with the RAF 13 tournament in Miami this Friday. The main event will feature Colby Covington against Belal Muhammad, while Khamzat Chimaev will face Gilbert Burns in the co-main event.
