The Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the appointment of new coaches for the Super Eagles B team (popularly known as the CHAN Eagles), the U23 (Olympics) team, as well as all other age-grade male national teams.
According to an official press statement by the NFF Communications Department, Salisu Yusuf has been reappointed as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles B team to be assisted by a coaching staff that includes Kennedy Boboye, Abubakar Bala Mohammed, and Fatai Osho as Assistant Coaches.
Ike Shorounmu and Suleiman Shuaibu are appointed as Goalkeepers' Trainers 1 & 2 respectively while Eboboritse Uwejamomore will be the Match Analyst for the team.
Yusuf and his team will be in charge of both the Super Eagles B team and the U23 (Olympics) team.
The one-time Super Eagles national team coach returns to the CHAN Eagles after leading them to second place at the 2018 edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2018).
Yusuf's first point of duty will be qualifying the Super Eagles B team for the 2022 African Nations Championships (CHAN 2022) after Nigeria failed to qualify for CHAN 2020 held in Cameroon.
Ladan Bosso appointed U20 national team coach
Also, the NFF has reaffirmed the appointment of Ladan Bosso as the Head Coach of the U20 male national team.
He is to be assisted by the trio of Fatai Amao, Oladuni Oyekale, and Jolomi Atune Ali. Baruwa Olatunji Abideen will be the Goalkeepers' Trainer for the U20 team.
Bosso and his team will aim to qualify for the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations to be held in Egypt between February/March 2023 as well as reach the semifinals of that competition to pick up an automatic ticket to the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup in Indonesia.
U17 National team get Nduka Ugbade as Head Coach
Captain of the victorious 1985 U16 team, Nduka Ugbade, has been tasked to lead the Golden Eaglets (U17 team) as Head Coach.
Ahmad Lawal Dankoli, Omoniyi Haruna Ilerika, and Yemi Daniel are Assistant Coaches of the U17 team while Mohammed Nasiru Isah will act as the Goalkeepers' Trainer.
Ugbade and his team will be tasked with qualifying Nigeria for the 2023 Africa U17 Cup of Nations to be held in Algeria as well as finishing Top 4 in Algeria to secure qualification for the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup to be held in Peru later that year.
Patrick Bassey to lead Future Eagles
Patrick Bassey will head the coaching department of the Future Eagles - the U13/15 male national teams. He will be assisted by Abdullahi Tyabo Umar, Mohammed Kalli Kachala, Ifeanyi Uba, and Mohammed Kwairanga.
Abubakar Abdullahi completes the U13/15 coaching crew as the Goalkeepers' Trainer for the Future Eagles.
