Hornicek joined Braga in 2019 as a youth prospect. He broke into the Portuguese club's first team during the 2023/24 season, accumulating 88 appearances, conceding 78 goals, and keeping 37 clean sheets. Since last autumn, the goalkeeper has also been a part of the Czech Republic national team. He made his debut in a friendly against Kosovo (2-1) in late May, though he remained an unused substitute in all three of the team's 2026 World Cup matches.
