Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt bemoaned his team's perimeter shooting in game four, after the Golden State Warriors levelled the NBA Finals.

The Warriors crushed the Cavs 103-82 on Thursday and although the likes of big men Timofey Mozgov (28 points, 10 rebounds) and Tristan Thompson (12, 13) produced big numbers, Cleveland were unable to match Golden State's smaller line-up.

Golden State centre Andrew Bogut was left on the bench for all but three minutes in Cleveland, and Blatt congratulated the opposition on their tactical switch, while he was frustrated by his team's shooting.

"When you're constantly on the defensive end you know you're in trouble," Blatt said at his post-match media conference.

"We couldn't get the ball down, we were 4-of-27 from three [the three-point line]."

JR Smith missed all eight attempts from long range, finishing with just four points, while Matthew Dellavedova was two-from-nine and LeBron James was one-from-four.

But Blatt attempted to stay positive after the 21-point loss, ahead of game five on the road on Sunday: "We didn't shoot the ball well and obviously Golden State made some adjustments. They did a good job tonight and we have to give credit where credit's due.

"[But] we're in a three-game series for the NBA Finals and six months ago I would have taken that."

Blatt added that he expects James to have no problems recovering from a hit to the head that he suffered in game four.

James collided with a courtside cameraman in the second quarter and although he required treatment, Blatt was confident the star small forward would be alright.

"I hope he's ok. I don't think he had any kind, you know, he didn't have a serious hit to the head," the coach said.

"It was more of a cut."
