Organisation collaborates FRSC to educate public on road safety

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has formed a partnership with the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).

The goal of this collaboration is to educate the public on road safety.

According to the Director-General of NOA, Mr. Mike Omeri, this is necessary because of the increase of speeding, use of cell phones while driving, disregard for road signs and pedestrian bridges, all of which are responsible for the high rate of accident fatalities.

The FRSC is also training NOA staff on road safety.

Concerning the training of his staff, Omeri said this would help support the FRSC during the public sensitisation.

On when this training would begin, Corp Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi said soon, as plans were already underway.

Last year, the FRSC partnered with both the Nigerian Air Force and the National Emergency Management Agency on driving campaign.
