The Super Eagles forward was back to scoring ways as he started his first match since his facial surgery. The win over Venezia has now put Napoli within one point of Inzaghi's men but the Nerazzurri have a game in hand.

Speaking to DAZN after Napoli's win over Venezia, the Super Eagles striker revealed that he is confident that they can win the title ahead of rivals Inter Milan.

On Saturday, Napoli will host Inter in what might be their best chance to cause an upset. Inter will come into this game with their tails up following defeat in the Milan derby.

Osimhen is aware of the scale of the challenge but is only thinking about getting three points off of the league leaders.

“We’re taking it one game at a time,” Osimhen started. “Inter is a tough opponent, but we’ll do everything we can to win.

"It won’t be easy, but I think that by doing our best we can reach our objectives this season.” the forward concluded.

When asked about Napoli's chance to steal the title Osimhen said, “Of course, it’s one of our goals. Let’s take it one step at a time.”

The last time these sides met, Inter came from behind to beat Napoli 3-2. As painful as the defeat must have been, it was much worse for Osimhen.

The striker suffered a facial injury which ruled him out of the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria's Super Eagles.

He has 10 goals in all competitions for Napoli this season and would hope to add to that tally come Saturday.
