Moroccan PSV Players Dream of Special Clash Against Oranje: 'If it really happens...'

"Are we playing against the Netherlands?" Salah-Eddine enthusiastically asks the NOS. "Then I'll be playing against my best friends, that sounds like a lot of fun. I knew there was a chance, of course, but if it really happens... I'm already really looking forward to it. I wish them good luck, and if they win, I'll give them a call," the PSV player laughs.

The Dutch reporter is eager to know Salah-Eddine's expectations for a potential match between Morocco and the Netherlands. "They're a great team, but so are we," the left-back for the Dutch champions responds when asked about the odds.

Saibari finds it difficult to assess Oranje. "We had to train during Oranje's matches, so I haven't really watched the Netherlands yet. That will come if it happens. It would be great to meet some friends, but if you want to become world champions, you ultimately have to beat everyone."

The Dutch national team still has work ahead of them. Ronald Koeman's squad is level on four points with Japan but currently boasts a better goal difference. A win against Tunisia would secure Oranje's group victory, setting up a clash with Morocco in the first knockout round.

Should the Netherlands finish second, a confrontation with Brazil awaits. If they finish third, the scenario remains entirely open. The potential opponent would then depend on which third-placed teams ultimately qualify for the knockout stage. In that case, there would also be no clarity yet on the match schedule, including location and kick-off time.
