Players cancel Christmas party after Champions League exit
Manchester United players have cancelled their Christmas party following their elimination from the Champions League.
A Christmas bash had been planned for Sunday, December 13 but was immediately canceled after their 3-2 loss to Wolfsburg on Tuesday, which knocked them out of the Champions League into the Europa League.
The cancellation was not made by the club or the manager.
The players took the decision not to party following their disappointing loss.
Manchester United have drawn their last two Premier League games and will be traveling to Bournemouth on Saturday, December 12.
For that trip, United will be without Bastian Schweinsteiger who has been given a three-match ban for violent conduct.
The German midfielder accepted his FA charge over an incident involving West Ham’s Winston Reid last weekend.
