The new strip was unveiled on the club’s official website which they said is a 'dramatic on-pitch statement' that draws on the 'fearless attitude' of Claudio Ranieri's players.

“The kit looks fantastic - it’s a great design that I’m sure the fans will love,” Foxes captain, Wes Morgan who models the new shirt on promotional photos, said.

'When you're on the way to an away game and you see the fans out in force, decked out in their colours, it’s a brilliant feeling. It always feels like we’re in it together.”

Leicester last wore red in the 2014-15 season, when they avoided relegation from the Premier League despite being bottom at Christmas.

They survived that season following an incredible run of seven victories in their last nine games of the season.

The new Puma shirt cost £50 (N25000) for adults and £35 (N17500) for children.

As Premier League champions, Leicester City’s new home and away kits will bear the Premier League winners' badge on the sleeve.
