Zanetti stated that he will soon turn 80, lacks the energy he once had, but affirmed he would remain at the helm if no one steps forward to acquire Virtus.

"If someone comes forward who wants to buy Virtus and demonstrates they have sufficient funds, desire, and ambition, I will be willing to listen. For now, the club is mine; if no one wants to take over, I will remain in charge. Regardless, I will soon be 80 years old, and I will consider offers. I reiterate, everything is moving forward; we have plans for the coming years and are discussing the renewal of our EuroLeague license. I would like to remain Virtus president even after 2026, even when we move to a new arena and the management is different from the current one. That would be a fitting end to this beautiful decade. As an owner, I brought the team to Serie A2, started with promotion and the Italian Cup, and since then, we've won a trophy every year. We brought the Italian championship title back." - Massimo Zanetti

He urged fans to support coach Jakovljević.

"Let's give the new coach time, let's stand by him. The team is behind him, injured players will return, and we've already seen progress in the last few games. I would be satisfied with the season so far, if not for that continuous streak of bad luck. Nevertheless, we are still at the top of the league table." - Massimo Zanetti
