Keyne had already gained fame through social media videos, but his presence at the World Cup propelled his popularity. At MetLife Stadium, he shone again in a roja jersey, whether running around or being carried by his older brother.

The three-year-old was also seen playfully interacting with Nico Williams, even scoring a goal against the winger.

“This time, the biggest sensation of the competition isn't an athlete, the goals, or even the trophy itself. It's Keyne, Lamine Yamal's three-year-old brother, who is stealing the show with his hilarious moments,” the Spanish magazine Hola! once described.

Keyne was born in September 2022 and is the son of Yamal's mother, Sheila Ebana, but from a different father.
