The £115,000-a-week wage that
Iheanacho has struggled to make an impact at Leicester City since his £25m move from Manchester City .
Since joining the Foxes, the Nigerian striker has made just nine Premier League appearances, starting just two of these games.
On Saturday, January 5, he played just 10 minutes against League One minnows Fleetwood in the goalless draw in the FA Cup.
Expensive flop
Leicester City are ready to sell the striker but his £115,000-a-week wage has been a hindrance.
While other clubs are interested in the striker, they have all baulked at his £115,000-a-week salary.
"The problem is Kelechi is earning around £115,000-a-week on a five-year deal and no club will currently want to take him on those wages,” a source is quoted to say by UK Sun.
“So Leicester might have to let him go for a lot cheaper than they paid for him if they decide to sell now.”
Newcastle United who were interested in him last summer could return for him along with the likes of Stoke, West Ham and Swansea.
