Kano Pillars will play their home games at the Sani Abacha Stadium in the next Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

The 2014 NPFL winners played at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofa Mata in Kano State all through last season and the League Management Company (LMC) have approved it for next season.

Ahead of the season, Bagangida promised to control fans and provide adequate security at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

After inspecting the stadium on Monday, December 19, the LMC representative Patrick Pascal said it was in good shape to host NPFL games.

Pascal also urged the management of the club to maintain and sustain the standard of the stadium.

Kano Pillars host  FC IfeanyiUbah in the opening fixture of the 2016/2017 NPFL season.
