Japanese international Daichi Kamada has extended his contract with Crystal Palace, committing to another season with the English football club. He spent a week on the free agent market after his previous agreement with the London side expired on June 30th. The Japanese midfielder's future was uncertain, and Palace had concerns about losing him to Nottingham Forest, where Oliver Glasner recently took over as manager. Sky Sports also reported interest in Kamada from clubs in Spain and Italy.
Kamada has won the FA Cup, Super Cup, and Conference League with Crystal Palace, for whom he has made 89 appearances, scoring three goals and providing eight assists. The defender arrived in England from Italian club Lazio, having previously spent four years with German side Eintracht Frankfurt.
