Nigerian youngster Odysseus Naphtali Alfa is set for success with Championship side Queens Park Rangers.

The 23-year-old Alfa has been recognized for his performances this season.

His parent club, Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 announced the nominees for their end of season awards.

The nominees were announced by Queens Park Rangers in a post on their official website.

Alfa was included among the shortlist for the Daphne Biggs Young Player of the Year for the 2021-2022 season.

He however faces tough competition from nine other exciting youngsters for the coveted award.

Other nominees alongside Alfa are Charlie Kelman, Murphy Mahoney, Sam McCallum, Faysal Bettache, Andre Dozzell, Aaron Drewe, Stephen Duke-McKenna, Joe Gubbins, and Dion Sanderson.

The Kaduna State born winger on August 24, 2021, made his senior debut for Queens Park Rangers in a 2-0 victory over Oxford United in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

Alfa, despite being nominated for the Queens Park Rangers award, is continuing his development at National League South club Dartford on loan in the second half of the season.

Since he joined Dartford on loan from Queens Park Rangers, Alfa has made a total of eleven appearances across all competitions with some impressive performances.

Moses Odubajo and Luke Amos, two players of Nigerian descent, were also nominated for the Queens Park Rangers awards.

Both players will compete for the Queens Park Rangers Player of the Year award with more than one appearance for the first team this season.
