Chelsea captain offers to pay for funeral of 8-year-old fan

Terry and some of his Chelsea teammates met Tommi in June 2015 last year.

The 35-year-old was informed of the death of the young fan by his family on social media and he is ready to pay the £1,600 total for his funeral.

The funeral has been scheduled on hold on Thursday April 14 and the attendees have been encouraged to wear either Chelsea or Cambridge United shirts at the service.

“Having had the pleasure of meeting Tommi at a Chelsea game I was totally devastated to hear of him passing away,” Terry told Cambridge News.

“I'm sure his family and friends will give him the send off he deserves.”
