Israel Premier League champions, Hapoel Be’ér Sheva will on Tuesday, July 12 face Sheriff of Moldova in the Champions League second qualifying round.

Ogu has since resumed pre-season training with his Hapoel Be’er Sheva teammates and was part of the squad that had a 10-day training session in Poland.

He took to social media to express his readiness for the challenge ahead.

“Last pre season game coming up tomorrow before the important Champions league playoff against Sheriff of Moldova,” he wrote alongside a photo of him in training.

“Really looking forward to play in front of our Super fans..I'm ready for the challenges. God is the reason.”

Ogu was instrumental as Hapoel Be'er Sheva won their first league title in their history last season.

The 28-year-old scored four goals in 34 league appearances and got the award of best foreign player in the league.

He also finished third in the Player of the Season poll.

Speaking on the league win, the midfielder revealed that he wanted to achieve more with his club last season.

“I wanted to achieve more, I wanted to win the cup; we had like two cup games, the second we lost in the semi-final,” Ogu said.

“Winning the league is very important for me, the first of my career,” he added.
