The Super Eagles of Nigeria moved up four placesin the October ranking from 64th to 60th country in world football.

This is the third consecutive upward movement for the Super Eagles who also moved three places from 14th to 11th in Africa.

Mikel took to Twitter to react to the rise writing; "Super Eagles, four places in FIFA world rankings. With our young squad,  we will continue to give everything, work hard and improve."

The 29-year-old is set to be named in Super Eagles squad for their next game against Algeria in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
